Combining contemporary trends and clean lines with antique furniture and found objects, CHC Interiors believes in the layering process necessary to bring forth the personality of the space. Each project, whether traditional or modern, through collaborative work and careful listening, will enhance the client’s lifestyle through design. As a philosophy, Carolyn strongly believes that each home should be created with the prospective client in mind. It should reflect their interests, their tastes as well as meet their individual needs. Each space is unique and can be designed in multiple ways; it takes the collaboration between the designer and client to develop the character of a space.

Prior to founding CHC Interiors, Carolyn has studied and worked in Chicago. She is a professional member of ASID, and passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), which enables her to hold an interior design license in the state of Illinois. Carolyn also has a Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan and an Associates degree from Harrington College of Design.

Because of her degree in Art History, Carolyn pays attention to both the interior and exterior architecture of a space, integrating the two into a beautiful and livable home. Recognizing that the style of each project will reflect the individual client and given space, CHC Interiors endeavors to leave its mark on each project infusing the eloquence of the past with the innovations of the present and future. Above all, the space should be comfortable where desired, functional when needed and elegant where possible.
